Camp On The Go

Camp On The Go offers art camp and classes throughout the community, available to any area non-profit organization free of charge.  The ACWF sprovides teaching artists, supplies and lessons; the partner organization provides the students and the location.

Just a few of our partner non-profit organizations: YMCA Dillard Early Learning, Archer Public Library, Burkburnett Boys and Girls Club, Hospice Wichita of Falls, Wichita Falls Housing Authority, Southside Youth Senter, and Girl Scouts.

This program also includes our weekly advanced Kids' Drawing classes at the Wichita Falls Housing Authority.

Hot Shop Teen Glass Workshops

Each year the ACWF partners with Art Reaching Out to provide a free hands-on glasswork experience for 40 students from regional high schools. Participation in this program is available to any high school in the Region 9 service area.

The students travel to the Carlyn Ray Designs studio in Dallas to work with two types of decorative glass processes: glass blowing and glass fusing.

Each student makes a small blown glass piece which they keep. The students also use frit and colored glass to create a public art installation.  These pieces are installed in the greater Wichita Falls area so the public at large can benefit.  The current installations are at the Wichita Falls Municipal Airport and the Wichita Falls Public Library/Parks & Recration Building.
