"Hello! My name is Kim O’Keefe and I enjoy illustrating and painting animals and fantasy creatures of all sizes, great and small, living and imaginary! Whether it is a horse, dog, dragon, or goblin, you'll find them engaged in activities from the mundane to wildly absurd! My imagination welcomes the humorous, unexpected, and curious, all inspired by comics, cartoons, and my lifelong love of children’s picture books.  

My dream job was to work with animals and make art. I've accomplished half, working professionally in animal welfare and veterinary hospitals, fostering rescues over the years, and advocating for bats as a permitted wildlife rehabber. My creative hand has recently bridged the gap with pet portraits and donating art to benefit animal rescues. It's never too late to pursue your dreams, and my inner child is excited to capture a wider audience through illustrative storytelling.
